New journal announced!

JOSH (Journal of Sexual Homos). The New York-based quarterly features original art, photography, and writing by and about Homos. Click below for a bit more info. (Thanks)

Each issue of the JOSH will pivot on a central theme, providing a focal point to catalyze exploration of a range of Homo interests and pursuits. Fix Me is the theme of the first issue. With Fix Me, the JOSH explores "notions of reparation, change, transformation, healing, and shifting identity through a multi-faceted lens of original writing, drawings, paintings, photographs, and other media."

According to Bersani, queer theorists like Monique Wittig, Judith Butler, and Michael Warner have taken “queer” to delineate political rather than erotic tendencies. In their writing, they have erased the specificity of gay identity in favor of transcendence over the homo-hetero binary, or of social constructivism or of historicizing the category; these theorists fear, rightly, to essentialize gay identity, a move that would fall in with heterosexist practice.
This is the book he's talking about. Something I must read!
